Lone Star Glass stands as one of Houston and Pasadena's most storied glass companies, with a rich history dating back to 1973 when co-founders Guadalupe "Lupe" Ramirez and Joe D. Creswell opened their first location on Bissonnet Street, next door to the iconic Cleburne's Cafeteria. What began as a partnership between two ambitious craftsmen has grown into a multi-location operation serving Pasadena, Houston, and El Campo for over 50 years.

The company's origin story reflects the classic American dream. Lupe and Joe first met in 1965 while working at National Glass, where Lupe quickly rose to become the company's lead supervisor and Joe became their top salesman. Recognizing their complementary skills and shared drive, they pooled their savings and talents to create something greater than either could achieve alone.

In 1976, Lone Star Glass purchased its permanent home at 3804 Bissonnet Street, which remains the company's headquarters today. Under Lupe's leadership, the company established rigorous training programs for installation teams, setting standards for quality and professionalism that continue to define their work. The partnership flourished for decades, eventually expanding to four Houston locations plus a store in El Campo.

In 2015, Lupe proudly passed the business to his three sons, ensuring the company remains a family endeavor rooted in the values of hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship. The company honors Lupe's legacy following his passing in September 2025, continuing his belief that glass is more than a trade—it's a craft that connects people and communities.

Today, Lone Star Glass serves Pasadena residential, commercial, and automotive customers with the same dedication to quality that has defined the company for five decades. They specialize in hard-to-find glass for classic and vintage vehicles, heavy machinery, and 18-wheelers, maintaining an extensive inventory of OEM materials from PPG, Pilkington, Mopar, Carlite, and Guardian.
